PRECARE + AFTERCARE

IMPORTANT TREATMENT INFORMATION

At Sculpt Med Spas, your safety, experience, and results are our highest priorities. Please carefully review all pre-care and aftercare instructions associated with your treatment. Following these guidelines helps support optimal healing, minimize downtime, and maximize your results.

Depending on the treatment performed, it is normal to experience temporary swelling, bruising, redness, tenderness, injection-site sensitivity, and temporary asymmetry during the healing process. Individual healing responses vary significantly. Some clients experience little to no downtime, while others may experience visible bruising or swelling for up to 14 days or longer depending on the treatment performed and individual factors.

If you have a wedding, vacation, photoshoot, special event, competition, or other important occasion planned, we recommend scheduling treatment at least 2–4 weeks in advance whenever possible. Healing timelines vary by individual and specific results cannot be guaranteed.

Please notify your provider if you are pregnant, attempting to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Certain treatments may not be recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Daily sun protection is essential for maintaining healthy skin and protecting your results. SPF 30 or higher should be worn daily and reapplied as directed.

Clinical photographs will be taken before and after treatment to document progress, monitor results, and assist in treatment planning. These photographs become part of your confidential medical record and are maintained in accordance with applicable privacy regulations.

Follow-up appointments are an important part of your treatment plan and allow your provider to assess healing, monitor progress, evaluate results, answer questions, and determine whether any additional treatment may be beneficial.

Many aesthetic treatments are designed to be performed as a series for optimal outcomes. Your provider will recommend a personalized treatment plan based on your concerns, goals, anatomy, and response to treatment.

To maximize your results, follow all pre-care and aftercare instructions available for review at any time on our website, stay well hydrated, prioritize protein intake, wear SPF daily, avoid smoking whenever possible, maintain healthy lifestyle habits, and attend all recommended follow-up appointments. The clients who achieve the best outcomes are typically those who consistently follow their treatment plan and provider recommendations.

If you have any questions before or after treatment, please contact Sculpt Med Spas at 718-530-3190. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or seek emergency medical care immediately.

As always, we are truly honored to be part of your aesthetic journey. Thank you for placing your trust in our team. We look forward to welcoming you and helping you achieve your goals through personalized care, clinical excellence, and integrity. Every client who walks through our doors is valued, respected, and treated with the highest level of professionalism, attention, and ethical care.

Medical Weight Loss

Our Medical Weight Loss Program is a medically supervised treatment designed to help you achieve sustainable, healthy weight loss. Using prescription medications such as Semaglutide or Tirzepatide, this program works by improving metabolism, reducing appetite, and promoting steady fat loss — all under the guidance of licensed medical professionals.

Pre-Care
•    Stay hydrated by drinking at least 60–80 oz of water daily leading up to your appointment — this helps your body adjust and supports digestion.
•    Eat a balanced meal before your injection or consultation — do not come on an empty stomach.
•    Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to your visit.
•    Inform your provider of any current medications, supplements, or health conditions before starting the program.
•    If this is your first session, bring a list of your current prescriptions and any recent lab results (if available).
•    Avoid taking other GLP-1 medications (e.g., Semaglutide, Tirzepatide) on the same day unless instructed otherwise.
•    Come in well-rested — fatigue can affect your metabolism and treatment response.

After-Care
•    Hydration is key. Drink at least 80 oz of water daily to help your body process the medication, support metabolism, and prevent constipation, which can occur with this treatment.
•    Eat small, balanced meals high in protein and fiber to minimize nausea and maintain steady energy.
•    If you experience mild side effects (nausea, fatigue, constipation), eat bland foods such as crackers, rice, or bananas, and avoid greasy or heavy meals.
•    Avoid alcohol and carbonated drinks for 24–48 hours post-injection.
•    Refrain from intense exercise for 24 hours if the injection site feels tender.
•    Do not skip meals - maintain consistent nutrition and hydration to stabilize blood sugar and maximize results.
•    Limit high-fat and sugary foods, which may worsen nausea or slow progress.
•    Track your weight, hydration, and appetite between visits and share updates with your provider.
•    Follow up as scheduled - consistency and communication ensure the best outcomes.

Pro Tip: The most important thing you can do on this treatment is drink plenty of water daily - it helps your body burn fat efficiently, reduces bloating, and prevents common side effects like constipation or fatigue.
